in the spring
cherry blossom dreams
kite strings tugging
This is one verse in my book of haiku, SEASONS OF GOLD, which I plan to publish as an e-book next Saturday. This is the cover design I’ve chosen:

This is one verse in my book of haiku, SEASONS OF GOLD, which I plan to publish as an e-book next Saturday. This is the cover design I’ve chosen:
white sails glisten
on that golden horizon
New Year’s Day
turn around
find the dreams you laid aside
make them live again
dark clouds drift eastward
carrying our hopes of rain
to cheer other folks
in silence the sun
brightens our existence
a quiet teacher
in the darkness
dreams are fearful—in the light
they comfort me
where the forest burned
fire-weed spikes dare to wave
banners of hope
lost and sad, yet I find
a trillium in the woods
life’s peace offering
a vagrant by the door
hoping for small change
to effect big change
bone-weary bag lady
extracts from junkyard flower
courage to survive
